Orbost Education Centre has welcomed back the Introductory to Floristry courses for 2024 in conjunction with Forget Me Not Studio in Lakes Entrance.
“Our course has been so successful that we have been allocated hours from ACFE-Adult Community and Further Education to deliver a level two course, Working in Floristry, as part of our Learn Local programs,” manager of Orbost Education Centre, Merralyn Barnes, said.
Since 2011, the Learn Local sector has helped Victorian adults upskill for life, work and study. Learn Local courses can be undertaken at more than 200 locations across Victoria. Learn Local can help you reach your goals, your way, while building confidence in reading and writing, improve life skills, or start a pathway to work or further study.
Naomi and Kirsty from Forget Me Not Studio in Lakes Entrance as trainers for this course deliver quality training to learners in their shop space, giving learners real life experience into the life of a florist and how a floristry operates.
“It is good to be supporting our community and giving back to the communities that support us,” Naomi and Kirsty said.
