Lakes Entrance will host Paynesville in round 11 of the East Gippsland Football Netball League this Saturday at the Lakeside Oval.
It will be a great opportunity for the Seagulls to pick up some much-needed wins in both netball and football, with the Gulls struggling, particularly in netball again in 2024.
The closest match of the day will most likely be the senior football with the match featuring the sixth and seventh ranked sides on the ladder.
If Lakes Entrance coach Ben Rotheram can get his young outfit to gel on the same day, the Gulls, who have been decimated by unavailability and injury throughout the season, could be theirs for the taking.
Victory would see the Seagulls jump to sixth on the table, but it will be no easy task with Rotheram needing huge games from his leaders in co-captains Angus McKenzie and Liam Carroll who run the engine room.
If the dynamic duo can get control at the vital centre clearances and provide a plentiful supply to the hugely talented forward Tom Hudson, the Seagulls are more than capable of banking another four points.
