Spritely youngster Jett Knur led the field home for the fourth time in the past five weeks in the weekly Lakes Entrance parkrun last Saturday, running a personal best in the process.
It was the third time recently that Knur has bettered his time, running an impressive 18 minutes and 15 seconds, finishing narrowly ahead of Aaron Evans (18.19) and Tully Davis (18.25), who also prodcued a personal best.
The first female home was local Peta Bassett (25.37).
With the weather pleasant on Saturday morning, 56 enthusiasts took to the five-kilometre course, for a run, jog or walk.
The event attracted 15 first time attendees and nine athletes achieved personal best times.
As always the event attracts members of plenty of running groups, this week saw Australia Post Group, Nobby’s Nutcases, Victorian Road Runners, Lakes and District Runners, Parkrun Gang and Everlasting fitness runners all represented.
The event takes place at Lakes Entrance Rotunda, Memorial Park from 8am every Saturday morning.
