The Swan Reach Football Netball Club recently held its presentation night and vote count at the Nicholson Pub.
The winners of the major awards on the night were Mick Stephenson and Danielle Ryan, with Stephenson taking out the senior football best and fairest, with Mick Hayes runner-up and Albert Wright finishing third.
Other trophies went to Peter Ritchie (most consistent), Justin Smith (coach’s award) and Max Solomon (goal kicking).
Ryan finished with 82 votes to clearly take out the senior netball best and fairest from Melissa Cantrill on 58.
Cantill also received awards for “the interceptor” and best in finals while Tegan Benedetti (most consistent) and Brodi Harris (most determined) were also rewarded.
Breanna Janson was the winner of the “B” grade best and fairest, with Abbey Wyatt claiming the runner-up trophy.
Matilda Wheatfill-Edes (most improved), Christine Stephenson (most consistent) and Eileen Saunders (best in finals) were also honoured.
The junior football best and fairest award was hotly contested with only 13 votes separating the top five contenders on the leader board.
Brayden Meyer coming out on top, narrowly from Lachie Scott.
The most consistent award went to Ashtyn Stone, while Beau Newman (coach’s award) and Riley Jakins (goal kicking) were recognised for their efforts throughout the season.
Shaylani Willacy was a runaway winner in the under 17 netball, finishing 38 votes ahead of runner-up, Hannah Finn.
The winner of the most determined was Whitney Baksh, with most consistent going to Cailin Falls.
The under 12 best and fairest went to Alexis Hanson, with the runner-up award won by Ella Searle.
Marilyn Fenton picked up the rising star and Ruby Jakins was delighted to be awarded the most consistent.
The club was thankful of the efforts of coaches Wilfred Carter, Danielle Ryan, Will Addison, Barb Dobson and Brodi Harris.
All coaching positions have been advertised with some announcements expected in the coming weeks.
