There is a heartwarming community project adding a touch of magic to the East Gippsland Winter Festival right in the middle of Lakes Entrance.
In collaboration with some talented local children, Kasia Bourke has created a delightful yarn installation that is now on display on the Esplanade near Woolworths.
“The children – Aleksander, Kenzi, Dusty, Mia, Isla, Joel, Xavier, Elki, Winter and Sol – drew imaginative and cheeky monsters, which I then brought to life through crochet,” Kasia said.
These adorable creations are now part of our Winter Magic installation, celebrating the creativity and spirit of our community’s youngest artists.
“This project was made even more enchanting with the help of Nicole Maloney, who crafted beautiful snowflakes that complement the monster themed installation perfectly,” Kasia said.
