The Wonkadoo Lounge is calling all chess enthusiasts to register expressions of interest for a Chess Club in Lakes Entrance.
Owner Dale Reynolds is keen to create a competition type event once a week, with the lounge setting the scene of a warm and cosy winter chocolate pot venue.
“I anticipate having seasonal competitions with up to 30 people able to attend, all levels are welcome,” Dale said.
“It will be run as a proper competition from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with supper and drinks available,” he said.
With the venue’s vintage furniture and quirky feel, a chess club “seems perfect for such a place”, giving local residents another reason to get out and meet others.
