As part of the East Gippsland Winter Festival there will be a Fungi Walk at Nungurner and then when you are hungry Fungi Flan and Fungi Latte will be on offer.
This fun and informative activity will be held this Friday, July 5 from 3pm to 5.30pm.
Meet at Nungurner Primary School where citizen mycologist Natasha Vorogushin will present visuals of edible and poisonous fungi. There will then be a walk along Nungurner Jetty Road to identify local edible and poisonous fungi.
Sena Goztepeli of ‘Down Under Mushrooms’ will share her fungi flan made with cultivated reishi, chaga, cordyceps and maitake medicinal mushrooms followed by Fungi Latte from chaga mushrooms and dark chocolate.
Natasha Vorogushin is co-founder of MYCOmmunity applied mycology, which undertakes fungi education workshops, research and data collection.
Sena Goztepeli of ‘Down Under Mushrooms’ was introduced to the fungi world while studying for her Diploma of Horticulture and since then she has been growing, cooking, eating, drinking and illustrating mushrooms. She has been tutoring cultivating mushroom workshops for six years
