Renowned expert on horse property management and design, Stuart Myers, is visiting Lakes Entrance on November 16.
Stuart visited the region in March this year, and he was so popular Landcare has decided to bring him back.
The event will be held at the Mechanics Hall and run from 9am to 3.30pm. There is a small cost and lunch will be included on the day. If interested in attending, you must RSVP to Emma Orgill at the Landcare Office in Orbost. Stuart is passionate about educating horse owners and believes his mission is to ‘help horses live their best life’ and that ‘caring for your horse property is equally as important as caring for your horse’. With a lifetime of working with horses, Stuart and Jane Myers are internationally known for their horse property management seminars.
On the day, you will learn how to use your horse’s natural and domesticated behaviours combined with sound pasture management principles to improve and maintain your properties. Highlighted will be how to manage pasture for your horses, increase biodiversity, the relationship between horses and their paddocks, nutritional issues such as laminitis and equine obesity, manure management, water use, and designing a horse property.
