Lakes Entrance Football Netball Club is holding a raffle to support a very special family who are going through some hard times.
The club is selling tickets to win a brand new Seajay Magnum 4.28 with a 40 horse-power Honda Tiller steer and trailer, with all proceeds going to the Morris family.
The Morris family moved to Lakes Entrance from Drouin last August and in January this year received the devastating news Hayley, wife of Wayne, and mother of Banjo, five, Lottie, two, and Eden, 12 months, had Stage 4 Metastatic Cancer.
Hayley went for an ultrasound on what was thought to be mastitis, but while waiting for the results also had debilitating back pain, so she pushed for scans on her back. The results were that her breast cancer had spread to her spine, pelvis, liver, sternum and right shoulder.
The family is so grateful for the support they have received and Hayley wants to send a message to the community about health.
“My main message is awareness,” she said.
