Lakes Entrance Secondary College celebrated a successful year last week, recognising the hard working graduating year 12 class and celebrating Dux of the school, Abbey Bills.
In her final official role as assistant principal at the college, Barb Hadlow officiated at the presentation evening where awards were handed out to a range of students who had demonstrated laudable and inspiring qualities throughout the year.
Awards acknowledged a wide range of exemplary qualities such as academic excellence, sporting prowess and achievement, full attendance, community engagement and music participation. Students who have made a significant contribution to college life were also celebrated and several students received a cash prize, from the Freemasons Lodge, to signify the depth and impact of their contributions.
The departing cohort of year 12 students were farewelled, many have received excellent results and can look ahead to a brilliant future.
“There are exciting times ahead as the new year 12s vow to achieve even better outcomes than their older peers,” Barbara said.
