When Lake Tyers opened once more last week, Isaac Carne, grabbed his drone and captured this photo as the lake rushed to the ocean.
Isaac is a film maker and director who is originally from Spain. He is currently the FLOAT Lake Keeper doing maintenance and assisting artists in residence at the Fishermen’s Landing site.
The lake has broken through to the ocean four times in the past 15 months following extensive and consistent rainfall.
Rob Ward, who takes a keen interest in all aspects of Lake Tyers, said that because the lake filled so quickly this time the sand bank had not consolidated to a great height.
