“Fantastic”, “very busy”, “massive” – these were some of the words the shop and business owners of Lakes Entrance used to describe the recent school holidays which incorporated a four-day long weekend.
Peter Yu and Christie Shao have just celebrated one year owning Fish-a-fare and described the two weeks as very busy.
“We doubled our normal patronage,” Peter said.
Christie reported the grand final long weekend saw crowds queueing.
“We are really enjoying running the shop and are glad to see so many people coming in,” she said.
Nick Wolffenbuttel, from Lakes Entrance Angler, reported a good holiday season.
“There were plenty of people around and they were spending and most were catching some fish – it was probably about the same as last year,” he said.
