Lakes Entrance Action Development Association’s (LEADA) Business and Tourism Association hosted 80 business owners and locals for the Business Resilience Dinner last Thursday evening, with special guests Ben Pettengill and Mike Rolls, aka Legless and Blind.
Ben, who at the age of 16 lost his sight overnight, and Mike, who became a double amputee after contracting the deadly infection, Meningococcal Septicaemia, have overcome the odds in their business careers.
In spite of the circumstances, both Ben and Mike have embraced the significant challenges life has thrown their way, placing an emphasis on a growth mindset, an ability to seek out challenges and change and a commitment to living life to the fullest.
‘Real Life Resilience’ provides a unique opportunity for the audience through their uplifting, innovative, real life strategies to tackle tough times, by leveraging the power of storytelling.
