Missing Persons Squad detectives have charged a Gippsland man with the murder of Lakes Entrance man, Dale Pantic, following his suspicious disappearance in 2019.
Following a long and protracted investigation, a 33-year-old Sale man was taken into custody last Wednesday and charged with murder.
He has since appeared before the Sale Magistrates’ Court and has been remanded in custody pending a committal hearing in March next year.
39-year-old Mr Pantic was last seen on April 10, 2019 and has not been in contact with his family since.
Despite numerous extensive searches by police, Mr Pantic’s body has never been found.
Police recovered his vehicle during a search of the Bunyip State Forest in May last year.
