Police are appealing for help in identifying a vehicle and its occupants, who fled from police at Lake Tyers Beach in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police say they attempted to intercept what’s believed to be a Nissan or Maverick patrol 4WD in Lakeview Drive at about 4.30am.
The vehicle took off and failed to pull over when police activated their lights and sirens.
Police gave chase, but when a passenger in the vehicle shone a bright LED spotlight at the police vehicle, they were forced to abandon the pursuit.
The offending vehicle was last seen heading down Flounder Road.
