What a Christmas Day at Lake Tyers Beach.
Despite the wild weather, the local community didn’t let a little rain dampen the festive spirit, gathering at the Lake Tyers Beach Tavern to catch up with friends and family.
As showers fell, umbrellas popped up and visitors huddled under cover, eagerly waiting for the arrival of Santa and Mrs Claus.
Their much-anticipated entrance came in style, courtesy of the Toorloo Fire Brigade, whose sirens announced the arrival of the festive duo and their bags of goodies for the children.
And just like magic, as soon as Santa and Mrs Claus appeared, the sun broke through the clouds, delighting children and parents alike. Little ones rushed forward to meet the famous couple, receiving treats from Santa and his helpers while families captured the moment with photos to remember.
Of course, the rain returned as quickly as it had disappeared, but spirits remained high as laughter and cheer filled the tavern.
The day wouldn’t have been possible without the efforts of the Lake Tyers Beach Tavern, the Toorloo Fire Brigade, and the Light Up Lake Tyers Beach group, whose teamwork ensured a Christmas celebration that will be remembered by the community for years to come.
