It was another busy morning last Saturday on the Lakes Entrance esplanade with 44 people participating in the weekly five-kilometre parkrun, taking the opportunity to run, jog or walk for fitness or fun.
The event attracted 15 first timers and three enthusiasts who recorded new personal best times, the field containing visitors from Sunshine Coast, Canberra and Western Australia as well as other Victorian parkruns.
Adam Evans led the field home in an impressive time of 19 minutes and six seconds, with the first female home, East Gippsland Runners’ Jacqui Shannon (23.36).
Personal best times were recorded by Wright Patterson (22.28), Dayna Walliker (33.14) and Debbie Cupitt (40.53).
Representatives of six different clubs took part, including Lakes and District Runners, Australia Post Group, Southern Peninsula Sports Club, TXR Runners and Achilles Running Club of Melbourne.
The event departs the rotunda at 8am each and every Saturday.
