There was frustration for the Lakes Entrance Pelicans, having to forfeit both Country Basketball League fixtures in round eight.
Injury and unavailability causing the Pelicans to miss matches away against Wonthaggi (Saturday) and Pakenham (Sunday), in what looked a tough double header.
Lakes Entrance head into final round on the bottom of the ladder, but victory over the Sale Sonics could see them climb above their opponent and the Bairnsdale Bullets.
The match will be played at the Gippsland Regional Sporting Complex at 6pm on Saturday night.
It was a huge weekend for the junior squad teams with 14 teams competing at the annual Moe tournament and some impressive results achieved.
The under 14.1 boys were dominant all weekend, cruising through the qualifying rounds, eventually knocking Wonthaggi off by eight points in the grand final.
The under 19 boys made it through to the grand final, where they went down to Morwell by 22 points, as did the under 10 boys, who went down to Moe by just four points.
While the under 14.2 boys went down in the semi finals to Warragul by 11 goals, as did the under girls, to Moe by 13 points.
