The Bairnsdale Cricket Association “B” grade fixture between Lakes Entrance and Orbost was unfortunately abandoned due to rain late on Saturday afternoon.
The Seagulls had worked themselves into a strong winning position before Mother Nature intervened.
Orbost have been a big improver in recent weeks, despite being winless and again worked hard to make 7/124 from 40 overs at the Orbost Recreation Reserve.
Sean Reid (3/15) and Brett Boyd (2/7) did the most damage with the ball.
In reply, Lakes Entrance were 1/115 with 19 overs remaining when play was called off.
Jacob Daly was unbeaten on 39, with the batsman dismissed, James Daly for 50, father and son sharing in a 99-run opening partnership.

It was an outstanding performance by Lakes Entrance in the under 13s, with both sides winners on the same day for the first time this season.
Lakes White were sent in at the Bairnsdale City Oval and managed to scrape together 3/94 from its 20 overs, with Oliver James Morgan (15) and Kade Watson (12 retired) , making significant contributions.
In reply West Bairnsdale could only manage 4/60 from its allocation, with Morgan getting a wicket and some outstanding fielding resulting in a couple of run outs.
Lakes Maroon won the toss and batted at St Brendans, making 5/68 from 20 overs, with Mack Anderson and Eddie Stapleton leading the way with seven each.
Some great bowling and outstanding pressure, saw Meerlieu restricted to 5/55, with wickets to Lucas Walker, Mikaela Walker and Chloe Walker.
