Animal Aid is opening its doors after hours for the first time, inviting the community
to experience the magic of adoption in a
new light.
On Friday, November 28, Animal Aid’s Bairnsdale and Sale shelters will stay open late until 7.30pm for a special Twilight Adoption Evening, an opportunity for animal lovers to meet the many cats and dogs waiting to begin their next chapter.
With shelters currently full and kitten
season just beginning, Animal Aid hopes the relaxed twilight setting will inspire more families to adopt.
“This is a really special opportunity to find your new best friend,” Elle Ammann, head of brand, partnerships and giving, said.
“Our teams will be on hand to introduce you to the wonderful animals in our care and help you find the perfect match.”
The evening will include free microchipping, expert advice from vets and dog trainers, delicious food and sweet treats, and exclusive evening-only adoption specials. Visitors are welcome to bring their own friendly, vaccinated dogs to meet potential new companions.
“We know many people can’t visit during the day, so this event is designed to make adoption more accessible and more personal,” Ms Ammann said.
“Our cattery is full and we have so many affectionate dogs hoping for a second chance, it’s the perfect time to visit.”
Animal Aid encourages everyone to come along, enjoy the twilight atmosphere, and discover the joy of giving an animal a
fresh start.
