Bairnsdale District Table Tennis Association will host a two-day tournament in its spacious Lucknow facility this weekend.
Entries are impressive, with around 40 players expected to play in the keenagers section on Saturday and 50 in the open events on Sunday.
Players will come from all over Gippsland and some from from as far as Melbourne, doing battle with many talented local players.
The keenagers section is purely doubles (men, women and mixed), while the open is a singles and doubles, including juniors and divisions.
Likely high seeds in the men’s competition include local star Danilo Alburo, Heath Sposato, Steve Warr, and Mick Warr.
Top seeds for the doubles would be Mick and Steve Warr, while Carol Chen and Maya Gomez will head the women’s rankings.
Spectators are encouraged to head along and take in the action.
