The highlight of another big week of golf at the Lakes Entrance Golf Club was the 2025 Men’s Foursomes Championship victory by Stuart Yates and Matthew Stevens.
It was a great effort by the duo to claim one of the club’s coveted board events.
In other action, Judith Collins was victorious with 20 points last Tuesday at Young and the Rest of Us.
In last Wednesday’s medley stableford, 33 players hit the fairways, led home by “A” grade player, Emily Derham, with an impressive 42 points, victorious on countback from Katrina Fearnley.
Sue Wilson took out “B” grade with top round of 41 points, in a day littered with good scores.
Numbers were down for Thursday’s medley stableford with the winds on the prowl, but it didn’t deter Graeme Smith who was a dominant winner of “A” grade and overall with 41 points, with Stephen Dinham (38 points) victorious in “B” grade and Garry O’Neill (39) taking “C” grade.
Garry Watson played a great round off his 10 handicap registering 40 points, but went home as an also-ran.
Saturday’s medley stableford attracted 74 players, with Jenny Dowie playing some sensational golf to finish with 45 points, taking “C” grade, and not surprisingly, the overall victory.
Renee Percival (37) returned to the winners’ list claiming “A” grade, with Glenn Byrnes (41) the “C” grade winner.
