The East Gippsland
Shire Council and local MP, Tim Bull are encouraging
all local sports clubs to
apply for the Sporting Club Grants Program.
Applications are now open for the Sporting Club Grants Program, helping clubs grow, improve, and deliver more for their communities.
Grants are available to, improve volunteer, coach, and official skills (up to $5,000), deliver new programs for your community (up to $5,000 adults or $2500 kids), purchase uniforms and equipment (up to $1,000), travel for competitions away from home (up to $750) and strengthen governance practices and ensure long-term sustainability (up to $1500).
These grants are designed to help community clubs grow stronger both on and off the field, build the capability and retain a skilled workforce (both volunteer and paid) and purchase uniforms and equipment that are essential for participation, first-aid
and safety.
They can increase equity, diversity and inclusiveness, implement good governance practices, create opportunities so Victorians can participate in ways that suit them, build a robust sector that responds to current and changing community needs and support athletes to achieve success in their sport.
Previous recipients include the Victorian Roller Derby League and Traralgon Table Tennis Association, who used their grants to make sport more accessible and fun
for everyone.
Applications close on November 26.
