On Wednesday, July 23, secondary students from across East Gippsland will be treated to a high-energy, purpose-driven youth conference designed to build resilience, spark motivation, and inspire future pathways.
Amp It Up, a free full-day event organised by Happow and proudly supported by Workforce Australia Local Jobs Program (Gippsland) and the East Gippsland Shire Council, brings together local role models, engaging speakers, and interactive sessions focused on mindset, goal setting, and career planning.
The conference will feature three standout keynote speakers:
Matt Runnalls: CEO of Mindfull Aus, author and award-winning advocate, sharing powerful insights on mental health and his own transformative story told across the globe.
Chloe Chang: Space Mechanical Engineer at Lunar Outpost Oceania, bringing inspiration as a Gen Z making waves in Australia’s space industry.
Eric Agyeman: Founder of Legacy Empowerment Group and award-winning youth mentor, who overcame early life adversity to become a national voice for change.
Students will also hear from a local career pathways panel, gaining practical insights and inspiration from young leaders and professionals across a variety of industries. The day will be hosted by youth coach and facilitator Dalton Kealey, ensuring a relatable, high-energy experience for all participants.
The event has even garnered the attention of the moon, with Roo-ver — Australia’s first lunar rover — making a special appearance on stage alongside Chloe Chang, showcasing the exciting future of STEM and space careers.
Thanks to funding from Workforce Australia and East Gippsland Shire, the event is free for schools, with catering and bus transport fully covered for all attending students and staff.
“Amp It Up is all about future-proofing our youth — building their confidence, resilience, and ambition to take bold steps forward,” Happow chief executive officer Gianna Lucas said.
“We’re proud to bring something positive, practical, and powerful to students across the region.”
Amp It Up is nearly sold out, with schools across East Gippsland already registered to attend.
