There were some great results from South Pines Golf Club (SPGC) members at the 2025 Ace of Clubs Tournament on the Far South East Coast of New South Wales.

The event was played in Bega, Eden, Tura Beach and the Pambula Merimbula golf clubs.

Jenny Ellis was crowned the Queen of Clubs for 2025 for the event after putting in some solid performances.

The South Pines ladies hit the ground running last Sunday at Tura Beach with Rebecca Lloyd and her mixed team of Judy Cooper, Suzanne Williams and David Collie taking first place in the mixed ambrose event.

Monday saw the ladies tackle Eden, before heading to Bega on Tuesday where Ellis, playing off 19, had 32 points to win the women’s event, setting herself up as the female player to watch.

It was tough day at Pambula Merimbula Golf Club on Thursday heading into the finale at Tura Beach.

SPGC was dominant on the final day with Ellis leading the charge and closing with rounds of 27, 32, 24, and 29 for a winning total of 112 stableford points, finishing a full eight shots clear of the field.

Teammate Tania Holmes finished second with consistent scores of 28, 24, 28, and 24.

The ladies were grateful to have met many great people and play on four different and interesting courses.

South Pines’ Rebecca Lloyd and her mixed team of Judy Cooper, Suzanne Williams and David Collie, took out first place in the mixed ambrose event last Monday at the Eden Golf Club. (PS)
