Saturday’s Lakes Entrance parkrun saw 30 participants walk, jog and run for fun, fitness or both along the Lakes Esplanade.
The field was led home by Rob Turner in 20 minutes and nine seconds, with the first female across the line, Anne Marie Darcy (24.57).
This week’s event departed from the rotunda at 8am with three personal bests recorded and representatives of five running groups
taking part.
The weekly event attracts like-minded people and affords the opportunity to get some exercise while socialising.
The event saw representatives from Southern Peninsula Sporting Club, Lakes and District Runners, Australia Post Group and Pakenham Road Runners hit the pavement.
Best times were recorded by Peter Stadler (27.10), Bec Voss (27.39) and Dallas
Riseley (33.58).
The first Lakes Entrance parkrun was conducted on February 3, 2018.
