The performance of the week at the Lakes Entrance Golf Club was from ladies’ club champion Renee Percival who won the ladies’ event on Saturday and all four nearest the pins.
Percival had 34 points to win “A” grade and overall while Rhonda Beckett was successful in “B” grade with 33 points.
The men’s event on Saturday was 4BBB with Igor Malejew and the in-form Adrian Parry victorious with a score of 46.
Runners-up were Matt Stevens and Wes Coad with Alan and Ian McKenna third, both pairings posting 44.
Last Tuesday in Ruthless and Toothless, 26 players hit the fairways with David Cuthertson the winner in “A” grade and Rex Mockett taking “B” grade.
Margaret Ellis was the winner of Young and the Rest of Us on countback from Margaret McManus.
Wednesday was medley stableford and the play off for the silver spoon. Bette Severs was the “B” grade winner and victorious overall with 37 points with Brenda Wall the winner in “A” grade.
Marlene Holmes was the winner of the silver spoon.
It was a good winter showing last Thursday with 70 players teeing up, young Connor Guillot winning the overall event and “B” grade with a great round of 37 stableford points.
Jim Stewart impressed taking “A” grade, also with 37 points while Geoff Dobbin was the winner in “C” grade.
