The Classic Wooden Boat race series at Metung has been dominated so far this season by Dick Whitaker’s Sorrento.
The fleet has significantly reduced so far this season to two regular entries and the occasional third.
This is due to owners selling their boats and retiring from sailing or moving to other states.
Most races are between Pearl, owned by Ken Barlow, and Sorrento. They have clashed four times for the season, with Sorrento victorious three times.
Sorrento has won races the Matalita, Chance and Pearl trophies, with Pearl winning the race for the Metung Hotel trophy.
