After moving to a new premises last year, the Lakes Entrance Volunteer Craft Group are once again open and ready for business at the old Slipway Café on the Esplanade.
For the past six years they have set up shop over the holiday season in Lakes Entrance with all monies raised going back into the community through local charities and clubs.
“The first donation this year will be for a bladder machine at the Cunninghame Arm Medical Centre which will benefit the whole community,” president of the Volunteer Craft Group Rosemary Kavadis said.
The shop is filled with all their usual handmade gifts and more. There is a huge range of fabulous stock, everything you need for Christmas or perhaps for yourself.
There is quilted and knitted rugs, plants, homemade toys, knitwear, sewn items, children’s jewellery, soaps, local pottery, plants and locally made gift sets, just to name a few things stocked.
The Lakes Entrance Men’s Shed once again have donated wooden items including bowls, doorstops and toys.
The store is open seven days a week, closed Christmas and Boxing Day and New Years Day, from 10am to 4pm.
“It is staffed by a great bunch of dedicated ladies, prepared to donate their time and put back into the community,” Rosemary said.
