It was another busy week of golf at the Lakes Entrance Golf Club, with some impressive scores posted, highlighted by youngster Mitchell Naylor’s victory in the Saturday men’s stableford event.
Naylor posted an impressive score of 43 points, to take overall victory and “C” grade, other winners include Shane Sproule (“A” grade) and Bradley Hayllar (“B” grade).
The ladies event was won by Brenda Wall with a great score of 38 points, with Melesia Johnson finishing runner up.
Club champion, Renee Percival may not have
won the event, but she did snare all four nearest the pins.
Tuesday’s young and restless event, was taken out by Lois Van Der Velden, while Paul Mifsud (“A” grade) and Ben Cleaver (“B” grade) were the winners of ruthless and toothless.
Thursday men’s stableford event attracted a bumper field of 106 players, with Ron Brymer coming out on top in the overall event and “C” grade with 39 points.
He won the overall event on countback from Donnie Blamire, who took out “B” grade, while “A” grade was won by former club captain, Norm Backman.
