Warm conditions didn’t deter 50 runners, joggers and walkers participating in last Saturday’s Lakes Entrance parkrun.

Alex Macleod led the field home in his first look at the course, in a steady 20 minutes and two seconds, finishing ahead of Jimmy Brand (20.59), who ran a personal best and Jake Dollman (22.28)

Brand was one of four people to post a personal time, others included Dallas Risely (37.20), Glenn Reggardo (42.02) and Andrea Twaddle (49.31).

The first female home was again youngster, Mia Calleja in 22 minutes and 37 seconds.

Organisers were delighted to attract 16 first timers and representatives from six running groups.

Represented were Lakes and District Runners, Southern Peninsula Sports Club, Australia Post Group, Everlasting Fitness Group, Running Mums Australia and the Sale and District Runners.

The event takes place at Lakes Entrance Rotunda, Memorial Park from 8am every Saturday morning.
