At a time of year when many people think the world goes mad, Lakes Entrance Girl Singers (LEGS) invite you to think of simpler times, with A Trip Down Memory Lane.

LEGS invite the public to a concert to both listen and/or sing along, featuring well known songs from the 1940s to the 80s. The group is directed by Kay Poynton, accompanied by John Poynton on guitar and Pennie Anderson on piano with audience participation welcomed and encouraged.

JP and the Sweet Notes will also perform with solos from Kay, Sue Bigham and harpist Jess Moller. As the name

suggests, JP (John Poynton) plays guitar, and the ‘Sweet Notes’ refer to the harmonies the group is becoming known for.

The concert will be held at 2pm on Sunday, November 24, at St Brendans’ Church Hall in Lakes Entrance. Afternoon tea will be provided during the interval.

“Come along and sing along with all proceeds going to the Lakes Entrance Food Bank at Neighbourhood House,” Pennie Anderson said.
