Interesting guest speakers have been organised for the months ahead. With warmer weather approaching the club looks forward to a presentation on fire safety at this month’s meeting.
The monthly morning tea will include a visit to Annie’s Cottage; a highlight members are looking forward to.
Fortnightly walks continue with a variety of venues chosen between Paynesville and Lake Tyers, together with all areas in between. A visit to a local café is always included.
Further afield some members are travelling interstate to the 56th Inner Wheel Conference in Bathhurst, New South Wales in October, while others ventured earlier to Birmingham, England for the Inner Wheel International Conference.
There are many aspects to membership of Inner Wheel.
Predominantly established as a friendship club many years ago, this still applies today with the added knowledge that there are many people in need in the community who require assistance.
Inner Wheel Bairnsdale is part of District A62 with nine clubs located between Bairnsdale, Phillip Island and Bayside. A mix of both country and city clubs who all raise funds in their local areas for worthy causes and combine for the major National Project being Cord Blood Research.
The International Project encompasses the theme of “Heartbeat of Humanity” assisting those in countries who are in need of ongoing aid.
Inner Wheel Club of Bairnsdale welcomes new members and looks forward to continuing its long association with members residing in many areas of the Gippsland Lakes.
