On Friday, September 13, at the Lake Tyers Beach Tavern, Lets Light Up Lake Tyers Beach for Christmas held its second raffle.
The fundraiser was a great success with many businesses donating fantastic prizes, while the patrons enjoyed themselves.
The community had a chance to see some of the items that are being made to decorate Lake Tyers Beach Road during the Christmas season.
There were two large painted Christmas characters, a penguin greeting patrons at the front entrance and a cheerful Santa where they were selling raffle tickets.
A couple of times the lights went out due to the wet and windy conditions, but no one was kept in the dark as the solar lanterns and solar Christmas lights shone and twinkled brightly.
The next and final raffle for Lets Light Up Lake Tyers Beach for Christmas will be on Friday, September 27, at the Lake Tyers Beach Tavern.
