Bairnsdale Classic Car Club held an extensive and complicated car rally last Sunday.
The rally was well planned out and thought-provoking, if not enlightening. The rally took members around Nicholson to Tambo Upper,
Metung and eventually to Lakes Entrance’s Apex Park for morning tea.
After morning tea, as it stayed a beautiful day for a rally, the members continued through Lakes Entrance the back way to Forestec and Metung, Swan Reach, Bruthen and back to Lucknow, which was the starting point.
All in all it was great fun and everyone questioned each other about the finer points to their answers, which were quite varied. The result won’t be given out until the next meeting.
Bairnsdale Classic Car Club has been running for more than six years and decided to celebrate it with a birthday cake after the rally.
Bob McCoy cooked up a great meal and adding the salads made it spectacular.
Everyone said they enjoyed the day and the barbecue. Max Curtis made the cake and Jan Whelan decorated it.
