Lakes Entrance will be looking for its third senior win of the season when it hosts Lindenow in round 13 of the East Gippsland Football Netball League this Saturday.
The Seagulls will be looking to build on victories against the Cats on the road in round six (24 points) and Paynesville at home in round 11 (11 points).
It promises to be an entertaining clash, with the Cats welcoming back several players last week and not being disgraced by one of the competition powerhouses in Lucknow.
The game will likely be won in the midfield, where a mix of young and experienced Seagulls will be pit themselves against the classy Cats midfield which contains coach Brett Waddell and competition stars Justin Gould and David Donchi.
After an even tussle in the first half last time, Liam Carroll, Angus McKenzie, Matt Duggan and coach Ben Rotheram were able to assert their supremacy in the middle of an exciting third quarter, creating a plentiful supply for talented young forward, Tom Hudson who helped himself to six goals.
Inaccurate kicking on the day costing Hudson a bag of 10 or more as the Lindenow defence had no match for his immense talent.
On song, the Cats play an attacking brand of football and with exciting youngsters Peter Harrison and Cooper Shaw up forward along-side the electrifying Darren Allen, Lindenow is capable of kicking a winning score.
Emmett Carroll has been a wonderful addition for the Seagulls in recent weeks, he and other exciting youngsters like Matt Pearce, Oscar Brazzale, George Ioakim and Alex Jerkins will be looking to put together impressive performances so they can be part of that winning feeling at senior level again.
