Grade five and six students at Toorloo Arm Primary School recently stepped into the shoes of a significant Australian and presented themselves to the wider school community.
They researched a person of interest, wrote a biography about them and then were able to get into character by dressing up as their significant Australian in an evening presentation. Students also had a diorama on display that depicted a significant event in Australia’s history.
Principal at Toorloo Arm Primary Kerry said many parents, grandparents, carers and family members were impressed with the students’ capacity to speak about the history and recall facts about the Australian Greats.
