Lake Tyers Beach Angling Club recently held its fifth fishing competition for the year.
The weather was kind but due to the full moon the fishing was not at its best. There were not many other anglers on the lake as it was possibly too cold.
Those anglers that fished the comp struggled to catch their bag.
Peter Schmidt won the longest bream (37.5 centimetres) and also caught two nice flathead of around 50 centimetres, while some other anglers caught the odd snapper around 33 centimetres.
The next competition is on the weekend of June 22-23 and after the measure on Sunday there will be a club meeting.
