Lakes Entrance Primary School student, Nakita Willis is off to School Sports Australia National Championships to be held at the Werribee Park International Equestrian Centre from September 28-30.
Nakita, a grade six student, will participate in the 90 centimetre showjumping, after becoming the first ever student from East Gippsland to win the event from a government school.
The nationals will see Nakita and with her horse Barbie tackle the country’s top riders to determine the national champion.
A school captain at Lakes Entrance Primary School, Nakita is well-respected throughout her school by students and staff.
The school has been very supportive of Nakita and donated funds to help her achieve this amazing goal.
