The Lakes Entrance Men’s Shed is being taken over by women every Tuesday afternoon and everyone is seeing it as a positive.
Daryl Pattison has always wanted to create a program for women to introduce them to woodwork, metalwork or whatever creative spark they have, or to just learn basic around-the-house chores.
“Many ladies have never learnt how to do simple jobs like changing the washer in a tap, or how to detect electricity wiring in a wall, things that a lot of men take for granted,” Mr Pattison said.
