Jenny and Glen Cole, who live on a 175-acre beef farm at Tostaree, have been overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness of Jenny’s work colleagues at Lakes Entrance Woolworths.
Unbeknown to Jenny, Lakes Entrance Woolworths team manager, Renate Paxton, front end manager, Deb Jakins, and their team organised lunches on a Wednesday, which is Jenny’s day off, with all proceeds raised going towards aiding her farm.
Six weeks ago the team donated a load of water, which was delivered. The kindness of the Lakes Entrance Woolworths team did not stop there.
On Saturday, October 6, Renate and Deb appeared at Jenny’s farm and were followed shortly by a load of hay that was donated by Noel and Cathy Hunter, of Willaura, near Ararat. The Lakes Entrance Woolworths team donated the money for cartage.
Jenny and Glen are very relieved as they now have the feed for their stock. Despite the land looking green, there is not enough length in it for the cows to eat.
“I would sincerely like to thank Renate and my fellow Lakes Entrance Woolworths team members for what they have done,” Jenny said.
“I also thank Noel and Cathy who have donated thousands upon thousands of dollars worth of hay. I remember Renate saying to me ‘Jen, we are one family at this store and we just wanted to help one of our own’.”
