The Lakes Entrance Netball Association (LENA) welcomed a strong turnout of enthusiastic young players to its “Come and Try” evening last Monday night.
Organisers were delighted with the attendance, which featured a mix of returning players and new faces taking to the court alongside friends, while parents, carers and grandparents cheered from the sidelines.
The association emphasises that netball is an inclusive sport for all local youth, and boys and girls are encouraged to get involved.
Sessions focus on skill development and learning the fundamentals of the game each week, with participants exploring court positioning — including the role of the transverse line — at the latest gathering.
With encouraging participation numbers, LENA is gearing up for another busy and successful term of junior netball.
