The Lakes Entrance Amateur Basketball Association (LEABA) is delighted to announce that Gabi Wright has attained her “A” grade referee qualification through Basketball Victoria.
“A” grade status is the highest local accreditation level, with referees qualified to officiate top-level domestic matches and become eligible for assessment for representative panels.
Most recently, Wright officiated at the Country Junior Championships, where she was also selected as a Basketball Victoria Technical Advisor for the event.
For those unfamiliar with the representative circuit, the role involves mentoring referees from the sidelines while they officiate on court, with Wright acting as a representative of Basketball Victoria.
LEABA said it was delighted to have someone with Wright’s experience and dedication mentoring local referees.
