Bairnsdale premier arts hub is gearing up for a bumper month of entertainment, with the Forge Theatre and Arts Hub announcing a diverse line-up of performances stretching from late March through to the end of April.
Following a month-long “creative takeover” in March, the theatre will transition from community-led workshops back to high-profile touring acts, offering everything from award-winning comedy to Australian rock royalty.
Local music fans are in for a treat on Sunday, April 12, when Australian music legend Ross Wilson and The Peaceniks hit the stage. Celebrating 50 years of hits, the Eagle Rock frontman will bring his Now Listen! We are Stepping Out! tour to Bairnsdale. The 4pm matinee performance is expected to be a sell-out, drawing fans of classic Aussie rock from across the Shire.
The momentum continues on Sunday, April 19, with acclaimed singer-songwriter Fred Smith. Known for his storytelling and sharp wit, Smith will present his latest show, Domesticity, at 2pm.
With several shows expected to reach capacity, the East Gippsland Shire Council is encouraging patrons to book early via the official website.
