The Lakes Entrance foreshore will come alive again this Saturday, 24 January, as the FREE Family Fun Festival – Summer Series rolls into its third week of summer fun
by the water.
Backed by LEADA and Smith Creative, the popular event is quickly becoming a highlight of the January calendar, drawing families, locals and holidaymakers down to the Esplanade for relaxed afternoons filled with music, colour and community spirit.
Last Saturday’s session on January 17 kept the bar high, with Ryan Shore delivering a crowd-pleasing performance that had people up dancing on the grass as the sun set over the foreshore.
From 4pm this week, the grass near the footbridge will again be buzzing with activity, with oversized lawn games, free face painting for kids and plenty of space to spread out a picnic rug or set up a camp chair as the afternoon drifts toward sunset.
Taking to the stage this week is Mike Elrington, performing live from 4pm to 5.45pm. Known for his powerhouse vocals and standout guitar skills, Elrington is set to deliver a high-energy soundtrack to a classic Lakes Entrance summer afternoon.
With the water glistening and the sun dropping
low, week three of the Summer Series promises another easy-going yet lively evening of free entertainment in one of the town’s most iconic settings.
The FREE Family Fun Festival – Summer Series runs from 4pm to 7pm and is open to everyone.
Pack a picnic, gather the family, enjoy a bite to eat from one of the many amazing local businesses, and soak up another feel-good evening of live music, summer vibes and community connection on the foreshore.
