Olivia Chester took out the 2025 Lakes Entrance Golf Club Ladies’ Star Medal last Wednesday at the seaside course.
The December monthly medal and the daily event was won by Marlene Holmes, with an impressive two under, with Chester taking “A” grade with one under.
Last Tuesday at Young and Rest of Us, Lorna Tiziani again led the field home, adding a nearest the pin award for good measure.
The popular 4BBB was on the menu last Thursday, with Bernie Cornell and Ron Beattie victorious with plus nine, finishing two shots ahead of Allan Taylor and Les Rodgers on countback from Michael Loveridge and Peter Knight.
Despite the less than ideal conditions, 90 players still teed up on Saturday with the men’s monthly medal won by “C” grade player, Tony Varone, with a superb seven under.
Rick Murray played a great round taking “A” grade with six under, with Marcus Fry victorious in “B” grade with five under.
Stuart Yates shot the best round of the day, an impressive 75.
Hayley Cotton won the ladies’ stroke event with score of 67, with Betty Martino finishing runner-up on 69.
Perennial club champion, Renee Percival, was also active, winning two nearest the pins.
