The Lakes Entrance Volunteer Craft Group is set to open again for 2025/26 with president Rosemary Kavadis describing the stock as “quite amazing”
this year.
For the past seven years they have set up shop over the holiday season in Lakes Entrance with all monies raised going back into the community through local charities and clubs. They will be trading from the same location as last year – the old Slipway Café on the Esplanade.
The group reported the shop is stocked bigger and better than ever with handmade gifts and more. There are some beautiful patchwork quilts, knitwear, toys and a whole range of fabulous stock, everything you need.
“The shop has been staffed
by a great bunch of dedicated ladies, prepared to donate their time and put back into the community, over the years,” Rosemary said.
Unfortunately the craft group has announced this will be the last year of trading at a shop, but they will keep on creating.
“All our volunteers are now over 75 years old and it is a big task with the shop. We will still meet as a social group and keep making craft with donations to locals in need and our community,” Rosemary said.
The store will start trade on Friday, November 21, from 10am, and is the perfect place to pick up Christmas gifts or perhaps just something for yourself.
