With a long weekend of sorts, numbers swelled significantly for the weekly Lakes Entrance parkrun with 78 participants enjoying the opportunity to walk, jog or run the picturesque five-kilometre course.
The event was led home Brendan Doyle in 16 minutes and 57 seconds, who was one of 35 first-time participants on the Esplanade course.
Charlie Darcy (20.20) was the first female home in a personal best time, one of eight recorded last Saturday morning.
The event also saw representatives of nine different clubs take part.
Other personal best times were recorded by Levi Walliker (20.42), Brodie Darcy (21.07), Arthur Athan (22.42), Zoe Nairn (26.09), Caroline Evans (26.12), Chelsey Reed (26.15) and Debbie Cupitt (43.28).
The field contained participants from Blood Sweat and Beers, Bundy and Resy Pres Crew, Pakenham Road Runners, Lakes and District Runners, Sale and District Runners, Everlasting Fitness Runners, Southern Peninsula Sports Club, Australia Post Group and Victorian Road Runners.
The Lakes Entrance parkrun started on February 3, 2018, and since then 4166 participants have hit the course.
