Sale United Football Club held its senior presentation night recently, with Konstandinos Moutoulis winning the senior mens best and fairest award and Sally Hoffman winning the women’s best and fairest player trophy.
Konstandinos won the senior best and fairest easily with 54 votes, 10 votes ahead of runner-up award winner Daniel Patchett.
Brodyn Taylor came in at third on 23 votes with Jamie Penn, 22 and Jacob Richardson 20.
Hoffman won with 73 votes to her credit to win the coveted women’s best and fairest award.
Milli Harbour was runner-up after receiving 57 votes.
In third place was Lilijana Sajkar on 22 votes, April Makeham on 21 and Soreti Anderon on 14 to make the top five.
Will Glover had a fantastic season and received 41 votes to win the reserve best and fairest player with Josh Deschepper taking out the runners-up trophy on 34 votes.
Luke Wilson came third with 22 votes, Luke Williams fourth with 19 votes and Mackenzie O’Donoghue fifth on 17 votes.
In the third division, young gun Oliver Austin had a stand-out season amassing 40 votes to win clearly over runner-up Chris Richardson and Kaan Babuc who were both on 15 votes.
Ian Duke came in next on 13 votes with Laone Moatlhodi and Mitch Brewis on 12 apiece.
The prestigious players player award had equal winners in the mens, with both Daniel Patchett and Konstandinos Moutoulis receiving 38 votes each of their peers to be announced dual winners.
Will Glover was close behind on 34 votes with Jacob Richardson on 25 votes and Hayden John on 17 votes.
Mitch Brewis 12, Josh Ryan 10, Richard Kemp 10, Mitch Lummis nine and Luke Williams eight, Alan Harris eight and Hamish Wain eight all tied in 10th spot together.
In the women’s team it was midfielder, Milli Harbour who stole the show and polled 31 votes to win the coveted players player award.
Sally Hoffman and Madelaine Breakspear were equal second on 18 votes apiece with April Makeham on 14 and Chelsea Page on 11 votes.

CLUB AWARDS
Goal of the year, across all four senior teams, was won by non-other than Josh Ryan who pulled off the perfectly placed free kick goal in an extremely close and tense match against Monash Seniors in round five at the 19th minute.
The pin point shot at goal was from distance, in the top corner, with power, to give the team the win 4-3.
A crowd pleaser, game changer and definite deserved winner of this award.
The John ‘Errol’ Flynn Sportsmanship Award was presented to Dan Patchett who is a player who gets on with the game. He is never controversial, always hard working and played fair all year.
Millie Harbour was announced as the club’s most determined player and received the Ben Piefke Trophy.
She is a big game player. Lays big tackles, goes hard for every ball and doesn’t back out.
Every effort is 100 per cent for the full 90 minutes with a strength and determination the entire time.
Jacob Richardson was presented with the goalkeeper of the year award after a great season in front of goals.
The former State League representative and NPL goalkeeper had a year off last season due to full knee reconstruction and came back stronger than ever this season.
The rising star awards were won by Sally Hoffman and Will Glover.
The two young guns who get better every year and this year was no exception with them both being standout performers in their respective teams all the way through to the grand finals.
Liam Macreadie was nominated many times to win the club person of the year award.
Macreadie is a silent achiever and will help whenever and wherever it is needed. He also co-coached the under 16 boys this year through to the final of the cup and supports all teams across all levels at the club.
Joe Wood was presented with the presidents award.
In his mid-20s and a great player himself, Joe is all about coaching and helping players improve.
He has instigated training sessions at the club to give players the opportunity for one-on-one training. He coached the reserve grade to win both the league championship title and also the grand final of the cup.
