Move with Purpose at Recover Pilates

At Recover Pilates, movement is more than exercise, it’s a way of life!

Recover Pilates helps people of all ages and stages move well, feel strong, and reconnect with their bodies through mindful, purposeful movement.

Established in 2019 in Paynesville, Recover Pilates has grown from a small local studio into a thriving wellness community, now offering classes across multiple locations in Paynesville,

Eagle Point, and Bairnsdale, with a new Maffra studio opening in 2026.

Led by Dr Maddison Walsh, osteopath, pilates instructor, and women’s and pelvic health practitioner, and co-owner Millie Howlett, a passionate and highly experienced pilates instructor, Recover Pilates is built on community, connection and holistic wellbeing.

“Every person who walks through our doors is supported to move confidently, safely and inclusively,” Maddison said.

“We offer a personalised, holistic approach to movement, from rehabilitation and recovery to strength, flexibility and fitness.

“Our highly trained instructors and allied health professionals deliver reformer, mat, and clinical pilates classes designed to support all bodies, abilities, and life stages.

“With more than 50 classes each week, small class sizes ensure you receive individual attention and guidance.”

CLASS STYLES

– Reformer Pilates: Recover, flow, burn and strength classes for all levels from beginner to advanced.

– Mat Pilates: Full-body conditioning using props and weights, combining strength, mobility and intensity.

– Clinical Pilates: Rehabilitation-focused sessions for injury prevention, recovery and functional movement.

– Yoga: Gentle, restorative practices for grounding, flexibility and mindfulness.

More than movement, Recover Pilates is about connection and community.

“Our studios provide a welcoming, inclusive space where everyone can move, grow, and flourish,” Maddison said.
